A New Chapter

Weekly Affirmation
I celebrate change. I rejoice in the unfolding adventure that is my life, that is my spiritual community, that is my unfolding spiritual experience. I know that the nature of all life is change, and I embrace that reality with a sense of curiosity, playfulness and adventure. Yay and amen! And so it is.
A New Chapter
If you've been following all the communications, you'll know that we have had new opportunities present themselves!
First is our new location. A big thank you to Troy Olds and Marc Warnke for allowing us to use their space in Meridian, Mindset Cafe, on Sundays. The new building features a nice, large room for us to hold Sunday gatherings, and three adjacent rooms will allow us to reopen our youth program.
We will start meeting at the new Meridian location Nov. 7, with a full service and youth program following our November theme: A Grateful Heart. Rev. Roya will speak Nov. 7 and will continue to be with the community in the new space. Other guest speakers from various faiths will join us, so look forward to inspiration from many channels! Meditation begins at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 10:30 a.m.
The second opportunity we are taking advantage of is a union with The Center of Peace. The two groups will be together for the first time at that Nov. 7 gathering. The combined group will be known as The Center of Peace. Because that organization has been meeting since 1988 and has all necessary paperwork in place as a church, we are continuing with that name.
And on the Business Side ...
After service Nov. 7, there will be a potluck celebration of the new partnership and a board meeting. The new combined group will be led by a board and council. The Center of Peace has a board; two of their board members will step down to allow two people from our Powerhouse group to step in. If board participation calls to you, please attend the board meeting.
There also are lots of ministries to be engaged in and activities to volunteer for, so please attend the meeting to see where your skills and passions can play their parts.
Together
We are a spiritual community formed to provide spiritual principles, support and services to those seeking to transform their own lives and make the world a better place.
We support one another in all the seasons of our lives. We celebrate the times of joy and triumph. We extend compassion and comfort during times of loss, sorrow and pain.
We believe spiritual community enhances our experience of life, making it richer, deeper, and more expansive.
We teach the Science of Mind and Spirit which is a correlation of the laws of science, the opinions of philosophy and the revelations of religion applied to human needs and the aspirations of humanity.
We promote a way of life that incorporates spiritual principles and practices, honors all paths to God and helps make the world a better place.
“Unity can only be manifested by the Binary. Unity itself and the idea of Unity are already two.” Buddha
This Coming Sunday
In light of all the changes and developments, Rev. Roya will facilitate a visioning session Sunday, Oct. 31, usual time and place, 10 a.m. at our Kootenai location. Visioning allows us to catch God's vision for lives at a deep level, not dependent on appearance or form. Come be part of this powerful, revealing practice.
