Weekly Affirmation
I celebrate that I am at choice. I can choose, this day, this moment, my attitude, my outlook, my approach and thus, my outcomes. I rejoice in a bountiful Universe that gives me a choice of choices so often. Yay and amen. And so it is!
This Sunday, October 24th
We'll be blessed this Sunday to host Rev. Regina Yegge, minister of the Center of Peace, and her community. Rev. Regina has planned a talk titled, "Get off the Fence!" You won't want to miss her ideas and inspiration. Service will be held at our current location at 4948 Kootenai St., at the northeast corner of South Orchard Street in Boise.
Last Week's Organization Meeting
A small group met last Sunday to review the surveys that were filled out and to discuss the options that have presented themselves. It's apparent that youth is very important to our group. Many would like music, but it's not crucial. Most would like to see us have a dedicated space in the near future and move towards functioning as a church. Most would like to stay affiliated with United Center for Spiritual Living, but are OK as long as the group continues teaching and discussing Science of Mind Principles.
One new opportunity that we are exploring is folding of the Powerhouse Study Group and a merger of the community with the Center for Peace. Rev. Regina Yegge is currently leading that group and is very excited about joining up with our Powerhouse group. Rev. Regina already has the structure in place with federal non-profit status, a big plus, and she has a lot of experience and is interested in facilitating our youth group.
We also have the opportunity to move to a space in Meridian. Marc Warnke and Troy Olds have space that they use for business and have offered to let us hold services there on Sundays. The facility is very large and has rooms for youth and meetings. We will start meeting there Nov. 7th. Look for more details on the location next week!
